Wanja is a behavioural biologist turned AI specialist focusing on using AI to understand animal behaviour. He received his Master’s degree on AI-based classification of animal behaviour from biologger data. Within GAIA, Wanja is working on all things AI related from the biological side and is the link between biologists and engineers.
Professional experience
Since 2017 part of various projects at the IZW and PhD student since 2022. Expert in using AI to analyse animal biologging data to extract behaviour information. Deep understanding of animal behaviour observation.
